Air Partner’s group charter team has delivered a successful time-critical charter operation for a prestigious orchestra on its European tour.

The client reached out to Air Partner with a request to fly 100 professional musicians and their instruments for back-to-back performances across the UK and Europe. To arrange a charter solution that fit the client’s schedule, the group charter team investigated the full packing list of instruments, including weight and dimensions, to ensure the appropriate aircraft was secured.
Solution
To meet the client’s requirements, the team secured a Fokker 100. Ideal for small groups, this regional jet provided the perfect seating capacity to comfortably accommodate the passengers and the necessary hold volume to transport instruments.
The orchestra’s 25 violins, 12 wind instruments, four cellos, three trumpets, and a contrabassoon were accounted for on board, with the larger instruments secured to seats and the remaining items safely stowed in the overhead lockers.
An Air Partner representative greeted the passengers upon arrival at Birmingham Airport and oversaw the smooth check-in process and boarding procedure, liaising closely with handling agents to facilitate a seamless departure.
