Dealer event for a premium car brand

Air Partner recently organized flights for 1,500 passengers to a dealer event in Palm Springs, California over a two week period on behalf of a German premium car brand.

As the dealers were traveling from multiple locations, in order to make the transport as efficient as possible, we organized for them to travel via schedule flights to Los Angeles (LAX) and from there via two charter aircrafts (one CRJ200 and one B737-800) to Palm Springs (PSP).

 

Use of VIP terminals

At Los Angeles airport, guests were able to use the VIP terminal. This ensured a smooth transfer for dealers from the multiple scheduled flights to the charter aircraft. By using the VIP terminal, the transfer buses were able to drive up to the aircraft steps. The security screening took place directly at the aircraft just before boarding.

At the airport in Palm Springs the presentation of the new car took place directly at the private terminal and started right after the passengers disembarked the aircraft. The automotive dealers were then able to immediately start their test drive.

Air Partner worked hand-in-hand with the airlines to coordinate the appropriate parking positions of the aircraft to be as close as possible to the place of presentation of the car on the runway. Additional ground time had to be scheduled in Palm Springs, as the aircraft were not allowed to move from the parked position during the presentation for safety reasons.

 

Off Airport Check-In

Prior to the return trip, the passengers were provided with a check-in counter at the hotel. Guests were able to check in very comfortably after breakfast and avoid unnecessary waiting times at the airport. The service was connected with a luggage transfer organized by Air Partner from the hotel to the airport, to ensure a seamless return journey.

To ensure that everything went smoothly at the airports on site, an Air Partner representative was available around the clock as a contact person at both the airport in Los Angeles and at the airport in Palm Springs.

 

Support and reassurance

The event organizer received the additional reassurance of the Air Partner operations team who are on hand 24/7 and ready to assist in case of any unforeseen circumstances. Movement messages were sent after every departure to assist with the planning of the event.

Throughout the project, the Air Partner team worked tirelessly to ensure that all of the flights and overall logistics operated seamlessly to provide the client with a streamlined and memorable event.
