The ATR 42 is a twin-turboprop, short- to medium-haul regional airliner. The aircraft performs well at high altitude and in hot climates and is suitable for short runway operations. In mid-2000, ATR launched a freighter conversion program for both the -42 and -72, involving installing a forward freight door and modifying the cabin for freight.

The Ilyushin Il-76 is a multi-purpose four-engine turbofan medium to long range freighter. It was designed to deliver heavy machinery to remote, poorly served areas. The A310F is a wide-bodied aircraft, a shortened version of the A300F. It can carry up to 39t of freight for 5,950 km. The aircraft has been designed for regional routes but with the capability to fly extended range routes with optional long-range tanks. The A-310 is ideal for transporting outsize cargo. Because it needs a main deck high-loader to load and unload cargo on the main deck, it may not be a suitable aircraft for some remote airports.
