How has the cargo and logistics industry evolved in recent years, and how is Air Partner adapting to these changes?

People expect to receive everything now; when you order something online, you can have it the next day, even within a few hours for some items. That’s where air carriers have had to step up the services that they offer to the wider cargo market. As a business, we are now focusing more on our Time Critical portfolio – predominantly in the Aerospace sector, along with Maritime and Automotive – offering a complete range of services from Direct Drive (DD), On-Board Courier (OBC) and Next Flight Out (NFO), up to Part and Full Charter.

How does Air Partner tailor its cargo solutions to meet the unique needs of each customer? 

"The services we provide are very much bespoke to that individual customer’s needs. We are well-positioned to be able to offer those services, operating a 24/7 desk, which means that at any time, night or day, the team is ready to receive the enquiry and deal with it quickly and effectively. 

Rather than a one-size-fits-all answer, we will provide a more creative solution for the customer. This could be a combination of two, three, or even four different modes of transportation, such as an onboard courier, or a truck collecting the cargo, and moving it to a destination on a scheduled service as an NFO. The solution may even require a Part Charter down to the final destination if it is somewhere remote. 

It’s important to us that our customers know that they are in the capable hands of a team that understands their business needs and will work with them to find the perfect solution.

I’m now recruiting for Dubai, where we have an office already; however, we are looking to grow further to become a global Time Critical 24/7 operation – working as one team. As we say, we will follow the sun. Whatever time – night or day – there’ll be someone in our team who will be able to manage a movement for our customers.”
