More than at any other time in our history we are focussed upon making considerable improvements the group’s environmental performance, building on our previous efforts and finding innovative solutions to make further changes.
We continue to calculate the baseline carbon footprint for global greenhouse gas emissions from our business operations as well as making a number of key recommendations to assist with carbon reduction which in turn have influenced our ESG strategy.
The Group’s ESG Manager works across all business functions and geographies to develop and propose to the Senior Leadership Team, measures against each of the strategic pillars. The Senior Leadership Team has ultimate responsibility and sign-off for any such proposed initiatives. More broadly, the Wheels Up Board are also actively involved in the development of our environment strategy closely monitoring and guiding on activities detailed in regular update reports.
We have launched a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) scheme, which allows you to purchase SAF environmental attributes. By doing so, you can claim the emissions reduction benefits associated with SAF use - even if the fuel isn't physically loaded onto your flight.
