Air Partner - 18 Oct 2016
Air Partner, a global provider of private aviation services, is pleased to announce it will serve as a sponsor of The Blood Ball, an annual Halloween-inspired event benefiting DKMS. DKMS is an international not for profit organization dedicated to the fight against blood cancer and blood disorders.
Taking place on October 27, 2016 at the historic Diamond Horseshoe at the Paramount Hotel in New York City, The Blood Ball 2016 will feature a “Hollywood meets Horror” theme, and guests of the event will enjoy exclusive performances by DJ MICK and Shien Artists & Event Creative. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will benefit the on-going work of DKMS.
Every 3 minutes, someone in the US is diagnosed with a blood cancer. For many patients, a bone marrow transplant is the best chance for survival, and seventy percent of patients must rely on strangers for bone marrow transplants. DKMS works globally to recruit donors, create awareness, and raise funds to match donor registration costs and support the improvement of therapies through research. Since its founding 25 years ago, DKMS has registered over 6 million potential donors worldwide
“DKMS welcomes Air Partner to The Blood Ball,” says Carina Ortel, CEO of DKMS US. The lifesaving work we do here at DKMS can only be made possible by the generosity of sponsors like Air Partner. It is both an honor and a pleasure to have them join us in our fight to delete blood cancer in the U.S. and around the world.”
David McCown, Senior Vice President of Air Partner Private Jets in North America added: “We are very proud to support DKMS for such an important cause. Millions of Americans and their loved ones have been impacted by blood cancer, and DKMS provides invaluable resources that can provide these patients with a second chance at life.”
