Senior Account Manager

Air Partner's Commercial Jets Team offer logistical solutions and devise and execute many of the most complex flights in civil aviation. But we also complete hundreds of routine, yet individually tailored flights every week. Our client base includes; governments, corporates, sports and entertainments team, industrial and tour operators.

From product launches for 1,500 guests in Nice to birthday weekends in the Indian Ocean. From Arctic trooping exercises to night approaches into Basra under the risk of insurgent fire. It's difficult to imagine a problem our team haven't solved before.

With the business skyline changing faster than ever before we operate in a fast paced, intensely competitive sales environment which is challenging and not for the faint hearted! We are based in modern cutting edge offices close to Gatwick airport with regular train services to The City and South Coast.

Reporting directly to the Director – UK Commercial Jets, the role of a Senior Account Manager involves delivering revenue and profitability in accordance with your agreed targets and maintaining high earning accounts.  This will be achieved by providing adhoc charter solutions to your clients.

To compliment the primary role, it will be necessary to be included in various field activities such as client visits, airline visits, aircraft viewings and flight riding or flight dispatch. 

To be effective in this role you will need to demonstrate proven proactive sales ability, smart procurement techniques, resourceful aircraft location, creative presentation of offers, outstanding commercial awareness, insightful closing techniques and robust administration with the flight planning arrangements.

In addition to the above, you will also lead by example and display best practice broking techniques along with mentoring and guiding the less experienced members of the Commercial Jets trading team.   


Job Accountabilities 

  • General responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Achieving targets set for each financial year
  • Assisting the Director – Commercial Jets with implementing and progressing the Commercial Jets strategy
  • Providing support to the Commercial Jets UK team in all aspects of day to day trading
  • Maintenance and growth of existing client base
  • Assisting with client care activities and supplier relations
  • Speedy turnaround of new and existing client enquiries
  • Mentor and guide less experienced team members
  • Ensuring all new enquiries are entered correctly into CRM and updated on a regular basis
  • After sales service and orderly maintenance of paperwork/files
  • Research relevant industry data to create new sales leads and opportunities

  • Ability to anticipate and out manoeuvre rivals in competitive tenders
  • Previous experience working in an international environment
  • Ability to generate consistent GP for the company and meet challenging targets
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure rigorous contract and project deadlines are met
  • Well organised and resourceful
  • IT literate with the ability to learn the functions of a new system
  • Numerate, efficient and accurate
  • Must be competitive, highly motivated and hungry to win business 
  • Logical approach to problem solving and adapt at keeping up with a changing situation
  • Ability to maintain a sense of humour, even in a pressured situation
