Air Partner to launch in resource-rich Scandinavia

Air Partner plc, air charter provider to the oil and gas industry, will open its first Scandinavian office next week (August 1) in Malmo, Sweden, in a move which is seen as a positive development for the region’s energy conglomerates.

Longer-term, the company expects to expand its Nordic presence into neighbouring Norway and Denmark. Swedish nationals with local knowledge and global aviation expertise will work closely with Air Partner specialists around the world who regularly organise passenger and cargo flights for oil and gas industry clients.

The nature of energy industry requirements means that Air Partner flights, using private jets, commercial aircraft and freighters, are often urgent ‘go now’ operations into remote regions.

In addition to flying some 50,000 flight hours a year, Air Partner also manages an in-house fleet of six London-based Learjet 45s which are on immediate standby for oil and gas operations.

The company has a proven record of operating to the highest standards and has passed every safety audit ever carried out by external regulators, including corporate safety auditors and security services.

With aircraft charter being as intrinsic to the sector as the energy it extracts, the company’s investment in a North European operation comes at a time of significant strategic organic growth for the newly re-branded Group and better equips it to focus on business objectives.

Air Partner believes the time is now right to spread the word about its comprehensive services to a wider audience and will be exhibiting at Offshore Europe in Aberdeen in September (Stand 1170) for the first time.

The London Gatwick-based Group will be in attendance to promote its office-based in-house 24/7 operations centre, global procurement capabilities,

Emergency Planning service, expertise at obtaining flight clearances and proven skills in launching passenger and freight flights at short notice.
